The last difficulty is the price paid for Araunah’s threshing floor. Here we are told David bought the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver, but 1 Chron. 21:25 says he gave six hundred shekels of gold for the place. The explanation is very simple. 1 Chron. tells us what was paid for the land; 2 Sam. tells us what was paid for the oxen. So then we read, “David bought the threshing floor (for 600 gold shekels) and the oxen for fifty silver shekels.” - 1902 Christadelphian p 568
