THE FOREST OF THE SOUTH FIELD
F.G.—The last paragraph of Ezek. 20., consisting of verses 45–49 belongs to ch. 21. The text is so divided in the Hebrew, the LXX. and the Vulgate. The parallels between 20:46 and 21:2 become self-explanatory. “The south” and the “forest of the south field” are Jerusalem, the holy places, and the land of Israel.
