When the Babylonians destroyed Jerusalem the Edomites rejoiced and urged them on with the battle cry, "Rase,Rase, down to it's foundation!" They also were responsible for returning Judah fugitives back to Babylon after the destruction. Because of their actions, God said he would make them desolate and they would fall by the sword.
