In this chapter we hear of the prophesy against Tyre. After the conquest of Babylon against Jerusalem the Tyre merchants rejoiced that the door to the world was open. Ezekiel prophesied that Tyre would be destroyed, this was temporarily fulfilled by Nebuchadnezzar. After the Babylonians left Tyre rebuild her sea port and the final destruction was brought by a seven month siege by Alexander the Great. Ezekiel's prophesy was fulfilled.
