Ezekiel now takes on a different tone in his prophesies. The past was one of condemnation, the new is one of blessing and restoration. In the past his words were rejected ,but in the new era there is hope. He is to instill within the exiles of looking forward and not dwelling on the past and present.
Ezekiel is now a watchman and warning the people that they have to respond individually.
Boulton makes this statement and says ,"Pease and war cometh with all the attendant upon the latter, are not due solely to man; the controlling influence is with God who puts down and sets up men and nations in a way that will ultimately bring into existance a situation that results in the fulfillment of his purpose on earth.
