In this chapter we read of the wonderful treasures of the House of the Lord. How magnificent they were! We then realize that some of these are the treasures that Asa used to hire the King of Syria to fight the King of Israel. It says in 2 Chron. 16 that 'Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasury of the House of the Lord and the Kings house.' Asa was the great-grandson of Solomon. These treasures were dedicated to the House of God.
