To search the heart in a figurative sense, is to probe into the very depths of thoughts, affections, desires, and intentions of man. God gives us what we deserve. God sees that the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked within the natural man. God wants a person that wants to please Him. He wants a person with a desire to read His word and wants God's correction when he goes wrong. God wants a person with a pliable heart.
