Even though this chapter follows Darius and Daniel and the lions den, it does not happen in that order. This chapter skips back to the King of Babylon, King Belshazzar, grandson of Nebuchadnezzar. Daniel is telling of his vision of the four beasts. This vision is about the countries that will conquer the land and the history involved with each conquering nation. Nebuchadnezzar had the image that stood on it's feet and this vision was Daniel's vision about the same subject. It gave specific details, such as the 10 horns of one, which 3 were rooted up by one horn with eyes. Many people have studied these beast and history can be identified with each beast. We are able to look back and place the beasts with the historical event, but they were having to look forward in faith, because it was a vision from God.
