This chapter is about a vision of a ram and a goat. The first animal is a ram with two horns, one higher than the other. This represented the Medes and the Persians. The second animal was a goat with one horn between his eyes, which represents the Greeks. They fight and the ram loses. In the fight, the goat's horn breaks and 4 horns replace it. From one of the horns a little horn grows. As we read, Greek history will fill in the events as fortold.
