In this chapter Job reiterates how God controls the nations.
We realize the truth of Jobs words by remembering our readings this year. We have seen how God so easily used the many rulers we have read about. We look at Pharaoh and how he made decisions that fit into God's plans. We see Nebechadnezzar used for the punishment of Judah and the King of Assyria for the punishment of Israel. We see how the hearts of Cyrus and Ahasuerus is turned toward the Jews so that they could return to the land of Israel.
How wonderful is the words of verse 23 "He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: He enlargeth the nations, and leadeth them again."
