In this chapter we probably discover why satan, adversary, was so opposed and belligerent toward Job. Job was not only extremely rich in so many ways, but he pleased God by the works that he did. He had respect from not only the aged but the youth also. When he spoke even princes laid their hand on their mouth, and the nobles tongues cleaved to the roof of their mouth. All blessed him, because he helped the poor, fatherless, and widows. He was eyes to the blind, feet for the lame, and a father to the poor and he opposed the wicked.
