The minority of Central that support evolutionary principles call themselves Theistic Evolutionists (TE). They claim that God used evolution to create his plan. The question is how important is this view, ie is this a first principle and does believing in this view affect other principles. I think as we go through this exercise we will find it does affect big ones, particularly our view on mortality and the atonement.

The first thought that comes to mind for me is about Yahweh's 7000 year plan. If the evolutionist view were correct, then the 7000 year plan (which is shown in type by the creation week) would have no basis or foundation. Thus, believing in evolution fundamentally alters the pattern given in Genesis upon which the rest of scriptures is based. Just my initial thoughts.
