Matthew 24:36 -- "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only."
Did he not know exactly then? He expressly said he did not know. ‘Of that day and hour knoweth no man, no not the angels that are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father” (Mark xiii. 32). He said the Father had reserved the knowledge of the times and seasons (Acts i. 7). This knowledge was afterwards revealed to Him and communicated by Him to His servants (Rev. i. 1). But at the time of the discourse he did not possess that fulness of knowledge which would have enabled him to speak with certainty on questions of “when”.
