"Justification by Faith" is widely misunderstood. Most believe that a simple belief of the gospel is all that is needed (and some even unaccompanied by baptism). Faith is an ACTIVE, living belief in the Gospel.
"By faith, the walls of Jericho fell" If this had been all that was required, there would have been no need for the faith inspired march around the city. By faith, truly, the walls fell, but only after they were compassed 7 days. In like manner we are justified "by faith" when our faith leads us to submission to the ordinances appointed as the means of justifications" 1882 Chri p 217
