Does this apply to AD 70 or to latter day times, or both?

It is my understanding that this chapter has a duel application. There are parts that apply to AD 70 and parts that apply to the coming of Christ . I'm going to do some research on this. I have always heard that the fig tree is Israel and this is a prophesy of Israel becoming a nation. When this happens, Christ can come at any time. I believe that some of the pillars of the Truth held the same belief.
