Psa 86:2 " Preserve my soul; for I am holy: O thou my God, save (Hebrew "hosa") thy servant that trusteth in thee."
In the new testament we read... Mark 11:10 " Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest."
So it is thought that Hosanna means "save us now", and is suggested "Hosanna in the highest" is “Our savior from the highest (from heaven).”
God has provided us a savior. One that can "preserve our soul" so that we aren't left in "the lowest hell".
