1Co 7:14 "For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy."
“Sanctified,” that is, in the sense of being accounted by God a fit partner, and the children in the sense of being accounted legitimate. The idea that unbelieving adults or children can be spiritually sanctified by a mere marital tie, and made fit company for saints and angels, is truly worthy of a faithless generation.
