According to Bible Knowledge Commentary, using the estimates from Exo 38, the temple required 1 ton of Gold, 2.5 tons of Brass, and 4 tons of silver.
So how much is a ton of Gold? the obvious answer is 2000 pounds, but how big of a box would you need to fit a ton of Gold in it? One foot 3 inch square box! I was really thinking it would have been a much bigger box!
