It seems rather strange that new and false teachings under the auspices of the apostles would occur, but it did. In chapter 15 Paul is confronted with the idea that some believed there was no resurrection. That meant that after death all ended as the Saducees believed or maybe that you just go to heaven. I don't think it says what they believed happened, without a resurrection. So it is not strange that Christians today put little emphasis on the resurrection and heavy emphasis on heaven going. Almost every article in the obituaries say that the deceased went home to be with their Lord. So why be confused with the raising of their bodies?
