In Chapter 15, Paul is taking for granted that there will be a judgement after the resurrection. He speaks as if we are raised incorruptible that is we are already immortal at the resurrection. We have to remember, Paul teaches of a judgement as in 2 Cor. 5:10. That verse says, " for we must all appear before the judgement seat of Christ; that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." So he gives the example of the raising of the dead as the planting of a seed and it goes through a whole process before it completes the cycle. Eventually we are made immortal after the judgement.
