The “horn” is employed in the Scriptures as an emblem of power. As for example, Daniel’s ten horns—the symbol of ten kings. The beast with seven heads and ten horns.
Psalm 132:17: “There will I make the horn of David to bud.”
Luke 1:69: “He hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David.”
Ezekiel 29:21: “In that day will I cause the horn of the house of Israel to bud forth.”
1 Sam. 11:10: “The Lord shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.”
