We don't think about God or Jesus being jealous by us. But that is why we are to read the Old Testament for there we learn about the character of our Father. We must take this chapter to heart and try not to waste our time, finances, etc, and spend as much as possible for God. Spend means devoting our life to the things that really matter. Realizing that this chapter deals with adultery it still gives us a lesson on how we should live our lives.
