Once again scriptures are telling the person that is wise to get understanding and wisdom. This is the knowledge of God and with knowledge, we can please our Heavenly Father. I don't know if Solomon wrote Proverbs during his early years or at the end of his life. I presume it was early on, before bringing in women of the world. In Chapter 5, Solomon warns against woman who draw men away. It must be with enticing words and revealing dress, but for some it is a temptation that is extremely strong. For Solomon, women controlled his life in his latter years and he did not heed his own understanding. I surely hope that at the very end, he turned from his sins.
