"Then entered Satan into Judas" (Luke 22:3)
We've been reading in Proverbs about Wisdom and seeing how the words personifies it, making it sound like Wisdom is a person. For instance "Doth not Wisdom cry".
If we were to read that "Wisdom entered into someone" we would understand the meaning perfectly and not think that some supernatural being named "Wisdom" entered into the individual. However, change the phrase over to "satan entered in Judas", and peoples imagination runs wild, chasing after foreign concepts and foreign gods.
