Luk 24:13 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.
I'm not that familiar with what is done during the modern walks, but modern churches often hold "Walks to Emmaus". Reading the account, we see this journey started out with the two being sad and disheartened, but then as the truth of the matter was revealed to them, by Christ himself, their heart burned with them. It was not until their breaking of bread with them, that they realized who he was.
We have the truth, we know who Christ is. We need not walk to Emmaus to find this out. Our walk is not one to find the truth, but to live it. Our walk is not one away from Jerusalem to Emmaus, but one towards Jerusalem, towards Zion.
