Prov.17:28 It is true that many of us talk too much. In verse 28, " even a fool, when he holdeth his tongue, is counted wise." Many places in scriptures describe sin when individuals sin, backbite, have a perverse tongue, and spread lies. It is pleasing to our nature to join in on conversations about others. Idle time is conducive to a wagging tongue.
