When we read "and the word was made flesh and dwelt among us," we see a beautiful truth and statement of God come true. We see God's purpose come true. It was no longer words written on parchment paper, or a prophesy, or a promise, or the words in Psalms taking shape or the shadows of things to come, it was now Jesus Christ on the earth. He was walking, talking, and living among his people. The word became flesh.
