And it is from reasons of this kind one is apt, as many do, to think the Holy Spirit is now withdrawn, whereas it is as much the comforter and teacher as ever it was, and even more accessible; but not being singular in its manifestations, nor special in its out-pourings, not being direct, or supernatural, the prominence of its work is lost sight of. The scriptures, and the study of them, being the means now to obtain the same comfort and instruction as the early disciples had, the means are a natural process, are generally accessible, and the results therefore attract no particular attention. 1865 Christadelphian p300
We had some interesting discussions this weekend as to what extent the Spirit is with us or could be with us at this time. Interesting thought above, that correlates well with Rene's article.

I was wondering what The Comforter could be. The only thing I can come up with is that it is the Holy Spirit. Is this what you guys are thinking too?
