15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that zI have heard of my Father aI have made known unto you. 16 Ye have not chosen me, but bI have chosen you, and cordained you, that ye should go and dbring forth fruit, and that eyour fruit should remain: that fwhatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
This is extremely comforting, I think all of us would be perfectly satisfied to be considered a servant and Christ has indicated that indeed we can be / should be Friends! He has indeed given us the information needed to know what God has in store for us and the world.
