5. The fool foldeth his hands together, and eateth his own flesh.
I would think if someone foldeth their hands together it would mean they are not working... but am not sure. and I dont know why someone would eat their own flesh.
anyone know what this verse is saying?

"Koheleth finds that even the success of a man’s labour and skill has its own drawback, for it becomes a source of envy in others which can rob the worker of his pleasure (4:4). By contrast, the lazy fool who does nothing “eats his own flesh”—brings himself to ruin (4:5). Both therefore lead to futility, and the best in life is found in a moderation and contentment which avoids both extremes: “Better is a handful of quietness than two handsful of toil and striving after wind” (4:6, R.S.V.). What would Koheleth have said of the restless ambition which has found scope under the modern system to build gigantic industrial empires?"
