Deu 12:23 Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life; and thou mayest not eat the life with the flesh.
We are all worthy of death, and most of the Mosaic law pointed towards that fact. So the blood which represented life, wasnt permitted, as that would say the person was entitled to life.
Things have changed with Christ.
Joh 6:53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
Now a way has been opened to life, through Christ, and we've been instructed to "drink ye all of it"!

I like what you say there but not sure if we are allowed to eat the blood ?
28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; 29 That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.
they should be teaching the new law of Christ here , in another place Paul said it was no big deal to eat meat offered to idols except it could cause your brother to fall? any ideals

I agree in the literal, not sure that we should actually digest blood for a number of reasons, but in the symbol of Christs blood, we must.
