What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it. 17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.
It is amazing the things these men saw 1st done by Jesus and then by the apostles , but no change in them , these miracles that they could not deny had no affect on them , they remained greedy and selfish desiring nothing but power for the short time they would live on this earth . they traded unending life and happiness for a few short years of vanity and power. they were truly blind for after Jesus the apostles gave them great evidence and reason to repent but their minds were fixed on self and on the treasures which pass away.
