Ecc. 7:10 says we need to be careful not to think that the past was better than the present. I have friends that believe that the high school days were the best days of their life. To some extent they want to still live those days. The followers of Christ have a totally different outlook. We must take each day and learn from the past and make sure that we are a better person with a good outlook. We realize that Christ is our life and we are to live and please him.

Maybe they look back at those days and recall a time when they had hope for a great future. Now that they've aged, they think, "I'm here now...this is the best its gonna get"...."I wish I could go back to a time, when I had my whole future ahead, and hopes and plans of an incredible life".
We do have a hope for even a better, more glorious life, one that never ends. This is a probationary time, and the REAL LIFE is to come. This life is our "high school days", a time of learning and training, for the profession we are becoming!
