Act 13:1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
MANAEN: The Gk. form of the Heb. name Menahem (‘comforter’). Brought up with (‘foster-brother of) Herod Antipas (who killed John), Manaen’s life took a very different turn from that of the tetrarch, and he is found as one of the Christian leaders at Antioch along with Paul and Barnabas (Acts 13:1). He may have been related to an earlier Manaen or Menahem, an Essene who, according to Josephus (Ant. 15.373), was a friend of Herod the Great.

How many of us would have attempted to teach someone of the household of Herod? How many people have we passed up on talking the truth to, because we had a preconceived idea they wouldnt be interested?
