Chapter 24:18
The example that the children of Israel was to remember was that they were slaves and were ill treated in Egypt and were freed by God. Many of the laws reflected back to that period of time. They had to learn to be humble and that was hard for those stiff necked people. Maybe we also should remember the times that we were subject to sin and was without God in the world. We must remember being slaves to the world of sin, but now are free through the blood of Christ. We have a lot of responsibility and our lives are to be conducted in a manner acceptable to God.
