In God's foreknowledge he knew that His people would rebel and turn away from Him and go to other gods. He knew they were a rebellious people, yet he never cast them away. We must take heed to their nature and know that we are made of the same stuff and we too can rebel. I'm sure the people said," we will never do such a thing!" And they probably believed that they and there children would never turn from God, but they did. We need to take them for an example.
