"The vision was of the seraphim overshadowing the great throne. The word comes from the Hebrew ‘saraph,’ meaning to burn; to consume. Thus the seraphim describes the company of the saints in belligerent judgment, a fiery trial. They are connected with the cherubim, which word signifies the travelling chariot through which the Deity is manifested. The six wings indicate the means of power in the seraphim. They are in lots of 3 twins: covering the face, indicating the fulness of glory; covering the feet, showing that they are completely covered, in a transporting mode; and by which the seraphim would fly, providing mobility to instantly carry out the divine judgment."
