This epistle was a timely exhortation to the ecclesia at Colosse written approx. ad62, for the city was devastated by an earthquake in ad64. These final two chapters of this epistle complement the first two. The four chapters are like the four faces of the cherubim; the four gospels of the Master. Thus, the two chapters today represent the figure of the Man and the Eagle. Chapter 3 concerns the application of the doctrine of God manifestation through the Son. GEM, Logos
