In the seventh chapter, we commence a section of the prophecy which runs in a connected manner to the end of the twelfth chapter, and has been called” The Book of Immanuel.” It deals in a wonderful and comprehensive manner with the fortunes of Israel from the days of Ahaz, King of Judah, to the enthronement of the Holy One in the midst of Zion (12:6). The Holy One there enthroned amidst shoutings of rejoicing and salvation is the Lord Jesus Christ.
