We all talk about prayer and this is something that must be woven into every fiber of our life. However, we notice in verse 16 it is the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man that availeth much. When looking back in the previous verses we notice the nouns 'patience' and 'faith' partially describing the attributes of a righteous man. If we want our prayers answered we must be active doers of the word and working towards these virtues.
