1 Pet 2:9 "Ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a purchased people: that ye should show forth the praises of Him Who hath called you out of darkness into His glorious light"
Think of what those words entail: a PURCHASED people. We are not our own, to do as WE wish, Paul says, for we are "bought with a price." We have no right to do what we please in ANYTHING. We must be obedient in all things. Therefore any action we take, whether in religious or in any other matters, we must weigh the action with the utmost care, because our eternal welfare is at stake. Obedience can bring life and joy: disobedience will bring sorrow and death. The treasure of the Truth of God is too great an heritage to barter foolishly away for any present consideration.
We are not a social organization, for social purposes. We are not just another church or sect, to formulate our own constitution. WE ARE THE ECCLESIA OF THE LIVING GOD, to glorify and obey Him in ALL things!
