I always found the words of Hezekiah in Isaiah 39:8 very interesting. He was just informed that his sons are going to be taken away to Babylon as eunuchs and he responds - “Good is the word of the Lord which thou hast spoken. He said moreover, For there shall be peace and truth in my days.” (Isaiah 39:8) It sounds as if he is saying as long as it doesn’t happen in his lifetime that he was okay with it all. Does anyone else think this sounds like an odd thing for King Hezekiah to say?
