It is interesting to consider women of scripture who were part of the line of Christ as a direct result of their faith. A few come to mind:
It was the faith of these women that brought them into the line of the Messiah, not their status, family, or ordinary circumstances.
- Ruth, the Moabitess (mother of Obed)
- Rahab, the harlot of Jericho (mother of Boaz)
- Tamar, who was more righteous than Judah (mother of Pharez)
