In this chapter we read about the children of Israel fighting against the Philistines. When they saw that they were over whelmed, they called for the Ark of God to be brought to the camp. They did not go to God and inquire his will! They felt that having the Ark meant having God on their side. This was not the case, God requires faith and obedience.
