It seems strange that not only did Eli's sons do evil as priest but Samuel's two sons did likewise. Were Eli and Samuel so involved in God's work that they neglected their own? It takes time and effort to tend and raise children. Sometimes they neglect God regardless of what do do for them. The lesson for us is to do our best and plant the seed.
