11 O thou afflicted, tossed with tempest, and not comforted,
Behold, I will lay thy stones with fair colours,
And lay thy foundations with sapphires.
12 And I will make thy windows of agates,
And thy gates of carbuncles,
And all thy borders of pleasant stones.

In Thirteen Lectures on the Apocalypse, RR says..
“It must be manifest that one thing is distinctly signified by this classification, and that is, that diversity of excellence will characterise the spirit state. The saints will not be all to one pattern . . . but each with a preciousness of his own, which gains by comparison with the preciousness of his neighbour” (p. 215).
