As David fell so short in the time of Bathsheba we see his response. His response was pleasing unto God and we are told that he was a man after God's own heart. What about us? We read in Psm 64 that mankind is as filthy rags and deserve nothing but death. However, God has also provided a way for us and we find that path in God's word. It is up to us just as it was for David to do what is right and pleasing to God.
