This was something new to the Jewish people having a person going through the country side curing the sick and even raising the dead. It had to be frustrating and discouraging to see their powerful religious leaders condemning the man that was doing so many wonderful things. The religious leaders were in some cases vicious men threatening to murder this wonderful man and even threatening the populous of being driven out of their synagogue for following him.
